Ujian

Bismillahirahmanirrahim,

Fuh I am not sure how in future I am going to update my blog. Yes, indeed for those who read a lot, and writes, they shall stay consistent updating their blog.

Anyway today I am alone, husband is working (opps i'm married, alhamdulilllah), parents went out for kenduri, younger sister went for driving lesson, and I'm alone at home staring at the TV, hopping from one channel to another. TV programmes can't seem to satisfy me lately....then dozed off

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Woke up, the TV still on, it s NONA. One of the segments really caught  my interest, I end up with teary eye.

Story 1:

A story of 57 years old man, who opened 7 eleven in Bukit Bintang in 1984. His dad passed away in 1990 which made him decide to let go everything and stay at the village to take care of his mom who suffers from stroke. What really caught my interest was, as compared to many other similar true stories shown on TV whereby we shall feel sympathy towards the family and shed some tears out of humanity, this man is different. The house was very simple, like many other wooden village house.
The segment showed how he bathe his mom, helped her take wudhu, wear the telekung and perform solat. He prepares her food and drinks, and his mom looks very clean. Then he shall help to put a small desk on her bed for his mom to read the quran. Everything looks clean and organized. In most case we shall notice the caregiver looks quite tired, but not this man. He never stop smiling!!!! Subhanallah, he does seems very happy. He said, treat your mother like a queen. and he really does treat her like a queen. At that moment, I felt quite jealous of him, because I am sure he is one of the chosen one by ALLAH. He is still single, but I believe, it's because he is too good for any women on earth. He might be seeing his other half in heaven. Insyaallah.

Story 2:

It's almost the same as story 1, but it is between husband and wife. And the family are quite well to do. The husband who is actually a public figure Jins Samsuddin, suffers from Alzheimer. The wife took care of him almost the same way as the man in story 1. What really made me cried was her inspiring words.

" Saya bersyukur kepada Allah kerana diberi peluang untuk merasai ujian kecil ini"

Subhanaallah

after all, that s what life in this world for. to be tested. Hereafter is the ultimate.

inspired. I realized I haven't perform Zuhr prayer, so I switched off the TV.

Rain

Rain is pouring down heavily outside; it seems to be the best time to open the window and feel the cool breeze. Subhanallah. Though many may pull up the comforter and sail away in their beautiful dream, as for me i rather sit in front of my laptop---> blogstalking. Oh how i wish i am still in my small cubicle back in college where i can open my window, and enjoy the smell of the rain without having the raindrops splattering into my room.

I remembered few years back when someone asked me " What do you think about love". I was actually dumbstruck and i answered in one word; and that's it --> no further details.

To tell you the truth, there are certain things that i avoid telling people or sharing with people. In conversations, when talking about random things; such as... serious issues like politics, Islamic worldview or some other things ; even if i have strong opinion upon something, most of the time i decide to keep them to myself. Because sometimes, i see no point in sharing those ideas. Or maybe, i am just very shy.

So, that is why i feel that i have not been updating my blog for quite some time, as i feel that i rather keep some of the stories and thoughts to myself. Well, i guess i am not a hardcore writer; just yet.

Or maybe, actually deep down inside, i am afraid of the saying " termakan dengan kata kata sendiri"

Things that matters

1. Amir Raja Lawak - i am not a big fan of him, not even a fan to be precise. Everytime he tries to crack a joke and make people laugh, all he gets are unhearty, sympathetic, and mockery laugh. In fact, after trying so hard, he had to face all the synical remarks from the judges. If it's me to be in his place,i will just quit and try something else. But, this petite guy stays strong, blocking away all the negativity to stand on the stage, trying all different approaches to make us laugh our heart out.He is one person with a big heart.subhanallah

2. Ucop Wilcha-he is only a supporting actor in "Hantu Kak Limah Balik Rumah".But he himself had never expect that he can become so famous today; and now everyone is talking about him.He is invited to many TV and radio shows as guest star. Same thing goes for Nabil Raja Lawak and Upin Ipin. I dare say that they didn't expect that things finally turned out superbly well for them. SubhanALLAH, if ALLAH wants to give you rizq, HE CAN GIVE THEM IN ANY WAY THAT WE CAN NEVER IMAGINE. Thus, we must have STRONG FAITH in HIM.

3. My brothers:

One of my brothers is actually taking architecture course in one of the local universities. Honestly, i have to admit that he is so passionate in his course. Any magazines, reading material related to his course, he will buy them. In fact when there is any conferences, symposiums or exhibition; he will try his best to attend them.

Well, same thing goes for his younger brother, as he is so passionate in music, composing musics, and dai'e related matters.

As for my youngest 6 years old brother, he loves to play badminton so much, but unfortunately, he doesn't even know how to serve! HE PRACTICED EVERYDAY WITH THE WALL and forced my dad to send him to badminton class and now, he can return my dad's smash!

These are the things that are close to me, and somehow motivates me. SubhanALLAH.

ikhlas??

Anak 1-"alaa ayah ni asyik saya saja yang kena suruh buat semua benda, kenapa tak suruh orang lain buat" kata anaknya.

Struggling

Struggling with my own emotion, fighting with my own self. Often, my heart, mind go against each other. Justifying choices and decisions that i am going to make, the impact, on me and others , now or later.

Well, that' s my struggle of whether to go; or not to go to work; to take an emergency leave or not. When i had headache, tummy pain, or just a mild fever, can i just take an emergency leave? But what if the pain goes away after that? Will that sounds wrong? What about working with passion? intention? niat..as posted in one of my entries before...what a shame.

Fighting, and so far my mind wins the battle. But, it was not an easy one. So, finally i wake up, iron my clothes, grab some breakfast, greet my parents and off to work, praying to HIM to give me the passion, the focus and the sincerity.

On my way to work,

I will pass a wooden self made stall at the side road not far from my housing area.A small one but enough for people to have their quick breakfast before heading off to work. Their Nasi Lemak is the best! I remembered not too long ago, it was a smaller stall where they only sell Pisang Goreng. Their BEAUTIFUL daughter was always there to help her parents out. I figured that the daughter is younger than me, and probably girls at her age should now be in college enjoying their varsity life. Well, maybe that is their struggle, working everyday, fighting with the economy, working out for more income, so that one day, the BEAUTIFUL young lady can be together with her friends studying.

Oftentimes, i see a middle aged man cycling at the main road. He works as a lawn mower at houses and schools near my residency. Sometimes, when the weather was unfriendly, i saw him cycling hard and fast so that he will reach his work place before rain starts pouring down. The wrinkles on his face, the look from his eyes, the sweats from his forehead, i see responsibility, hope, determination, focus and strength. Struggling everyday to feed hungry mouth at home.

As i reach my workplace which is a hospital, walking towards the punch card machine, i have to go to the lobby; there, i will see family members, waiting at the entrance, persuading the security guard to allow them to see their loved ones in the ward. Also, i see old couples, with their bag of medicines, having breakfast at the cafeteria. They came early to the hospital for their doctor's appointment. At the emergency department, i see ill people, very ill people waiting for their turn to be attended by the hospital staff. Well, that is their struggle. Struggling not to get sick, struggling to stay healthy, struggling for their loved ones. STRUGGLING...

Can i compare them with my struggle?

5s

As a start,i think this is going to be a very dry topic. But for the sake of trying out this new application from my new Galaxy S,just bare with me. Another thing, apart from being dry i think this entry seems like showing off. ;-)

Anyway, most pharmacy department in government hospitals are actually working hard towards some sort of accreditation (persijilan).I don't know much about this but the aim is to provide best service to the patients. So,factors that lead to problems in giving out the best service shall be eliminated. For instance, the arrangement and storage of drugs should be systematic enough so that ANYBODY even in the first week of employment can easily find the correct drug at shortest time. This applies to other aspect as well such as filing of documents, storage of departments' key and etc.Dry isn't it?

Well, what happened in Hospital Serdang was, our big boss had arranged 2 days course for us.She actually called a trainer from one training company (i guess) to guide us with methods to achieve our aim.

Ok this trainer had introduced to us a term called budaya KAIZEN which means small improvement but its continous or in Malay, peningkatan walau sedikit tetapi berterusan. It is actually originated by the Japanese culture. Now it is a commercialized culture in Malaysia. Why? because apparently, this company is being paid to promote and inculcate the culture in most of the hospital in Malaysia.

The thing is...

I find that budaya KAiZEN sounds sooo familiar..

And i realised that it reminds me of

The concept of ISTIQAMAH in Islam

A concept that has been taught to us Muslims since childhood..but somehow i did not realise the value and rewards that can be obtained (money,profit,influences,........) until i learnt about budaya KAIZEN. A Japanese culture which is being promoted extensively even to non Japanese and most importantly being practised and uphold by the Japanese themselves!

i understand if you dont get me...i think i have difficulties in expressing my points clearly lately.

So why 5s...?

(Shifaa Sangat Suke Syok Sendiri) :-P

p/s : 5s is actually another Japanese method which i don't feel like explaining.Just google them out.

Tazkirah

BLANK

I thought that i have so many exciting stories to share here, but after so many saved drafts, i end up not finishing any of them. Most of them are only halfway done. Yet, at home, i always have so many ideas to chat about; not necessarily about work, sometimes things that i listen from the radio, news, things that i see and observe, funny stories, current issues and other scoops that i find interesting. That is why i thought that i have so many things to blog out here.

Maybe this is because, i find it quite difficult to find suitable words, phrases, expressions to make sure that other people can grasp my point. Of course, it's easier for me to express the message face to face because, even if you can't find suitable words, you have expressions, tone and actions to help.

This brings me to ponder about Tazkirah (a short preach that serve as a reminder to the community). I am a dreadful person because, i am always reluctant to listen to Tazkirah .I even think that "nah, they are pretty much the same, basically you have to do good deeds and avoid doing bad stuff, most of the facts are no alien to me"

BUT

There are (but not many) number of persons whom i find that their tazkirah are quite interesting. Thinking about it i felt that the reason lies behind the elaboration of the already - known - points combined with accurate examples. These persons are able to find examples that revolves around me and other people and able to make me visualise, feel and appreciate the already - known points.

Which make me realise that, to be a preacher, you have to be observant of things around you, observant of human behavior and nature of life. Then you can explain your points by making examples using things around you. That explains why a speaker need to know their audience. Knowing the audience does not only mean knowing their occupation, level of education and monthly income, but also their lifestyle, and perceptions and even natural habit. Thus giving speech does not only mean delivering the points and facts but also being able to inspire and make make the audience appreciate those facts.

Now i know why i find it easier to tell stories to my family at home, because of course i know them very well!

These are obtainable skills whether in speaking or writing. So, nothing is impossible....

p/s: Initially, the title was supposed to be blank as i don't know what to write, but i'll change it to tazkirah...
